Speed Networking - The Energetic Way to Build Useful Connections

Events BrisGroup Back by popular demand, as always our 'Speed Networking Luncheon' represents organised chaos. It's loud, energising and exhausting, and you just have to be part of it. It's a great way to meet other business professionals in a short period of time. The event is always lots of fun and an effective way to make a lot of initial connections in a very different environment from our standard business networking meetings.

If this is your first experience of 'Speed Networking', basically it involves you meeting each luncheon guest one at a time for a short interval and then moving on to the next person in line. Participants are split into two groups sitting across from one another and after the set time period - usually 2 minutes - the outside circle of people will get up and move in one direction around the circle until everyone has met.

Once the speed component is over there will be time to reconnect with those who you wish to speak with in more detail. You need to be ready for action at this event, so here are some tips to ensure you're prepared and can maximise the results to be gained from your participation.

What you'll need:
l 100 Business Cards - You won't be able to participate effectively without them.
l Elevator Pitch - Ensure the description of what you do is engaging and don't waffle on. Yawn!
l Be Attentive - Show more interest in others than in yourself. Don't be a blow hole!
l Be Memorable - Use humour, a unique point of interest or tip and ensure you shine in the crowd.

On Arrival: Canapes and pre-luncheon drink followed by cash bar.

Lunch: A scrumptious hot and cold buffet luncheon will be served including a selection of desserts. The buffet selection will cater for those with special diets. But it never hurts to tell us your special dietary needs in the comments section of your booking form.

Note: Buffet also includes a selection of breads followed by coffee, tea and chocolates.

Special dietary requirements are to be indicated in the comments section of your booking form. Due to venue policy we are required to give 3 working days notice prior to this event for final numbers attending and any special diets that are to be served on the day.
