What's been your most outstanding career/business achievement?
Helping business owners 'get' marketing through my one-on-one marketing workshop which helps business owners obtain clarity and vision for their business. Recently I've developed this into a group workshop called 'Easy Marketing for Service Professionals' and received raving reviews. My obsession is for business owners to struggle less and enjoy marketing their business more.
What are your top 3 networking tips?
n Always, always, always look at ways of helping other people grow their business.
n Build relationships and alliances with people - you never know where it might lead.
n Networking and building relationships should be a strong focus on your marketing strategy.
What's been your most successful marketing or career progression strategy?
My most successful marketing strategy to date is to develop a niche. In the past I used to do marketing for everyone. But now I help Service Business Professionals - accountants, coaches, consultants, trainers, human resources, financial planners, solo-preneurs who are struggling to attract clients. I help them to master the core principles of marketing and learn a 4-step system for attracting new clients.
What can't you live without?
My two beautiful children, my supportive husband, my Blackberry and my Mac!
What value and benefit have you or your business gained by being a WNA Member?
I first joined WNA in 1992 with my first business. Then I rejoined in 2004 with my second business, but shortly afterwards found out I was pregnant and decided to spend some time with the baby. So this is my third time and I couldn't recommend WNA highly enough. It's a fantastic networking group - which I encourage you to explore the many fantastic opportunities they offer.
