 After working for various boutique and large corporate intellectual property (IP) firms, I decided to start my own firm - Adept IP. Adept IP is a boutique intellectual property firm specialising in patents, trade marks and designs.
Whether you have: - an idea or invention to be protected by a Patent; - a name and/or logo to be protected by a Trade Mark; and/or - a new and distinctive shape or appearance for a product to be protected by a Design; we will take the time to understand your business to identify, protect, build and manage your IP so that you can maximise and profit from your IP and 'add value' to your business.

What's been your most outstanding achievement?
Besides starting my own business, what I find most rewarding is seeing an award-winning innovative product or reputable brand name or logo in the marketplace which belongs to one of my clients.
What are your top 3 networking tips?
- Be yourself and be genuine.
- Less is more – it is better to speak to fewer people and form some quality connections than speaking to lots of people for a short time which both parties won't remember.
- Listen to others to identify how you can help them either yourself or by introducing them to other people or businesses you know.
What's been your most successful marketing or career progression strategy?
Having previously built a successful patent practice from scratch for another boutique IP firm and working in a large corporate IP firm, I have been able to observe the positive and negative influences of corporate culture on client and staff retention and work out ways to address these issues.
What can't you live without?
My beautiful 15 month old daughter Madison and loving husband Jason.
