FACTS ABOUT WOMEN

Women own 585,000 of the 1.9 million small businesses operating in Australia.

Women own almost half of all home-based businesses and one-third of businesses operating from other locations.

Women setting up business from home is the fastest growing sector of the Australian economy.

46% of women run their businesses from home - a 20% increase in the last five years.

Women make or influence 80% of all purchasing decisions.

Women owned businesses have less external debt, are more profitable and profitable much earlier than those owned by men.

94% of all Australian businesses have an annual turnover of less that 2 million dollars.

Events

Since our establishment 20 years ago, over 98,000 women have attended Women's Network Australia's (WNA) business networking forums and events.

At any given WNA event 60 - 75% of attendees will be current WNA Members with the balance attending as a first time visitor to evaluate the benefits of becoming a WNA Member.

With over 2,000 business and professional women joining each year, WNA's business events provide a national forum for both veteran and rookie Members to connect with each other whilst also developing business relationships and strategic alliances. WNA Members can further increase their profile and positioning at our events by utilizing promotional opportunities.
