Women (and some men too!) join Women's Network Australia for a range of reasons and a huge range of benefits. Before joining any organisation it's always good to know how others feel about the group and what they have to say about belonging.

Here’s just a small taste of what our Members have to say about belonging to the WNA Community. We look forward to you having a read and then joining yourself up.

For women in business, struggles come thick and fast and Humble Leaders is filled with insights, personal anecdotes, humour and sage advice, delivered in a way that feels like you are conversing with a friend. It teaches us to be a little kinder to ourselves, and as Janelle Bostock writes, “resolve today that you are going to spend more time working on the areas that do make a difference… and spend less time on those that fall short.” No matter where your career path lies, you are certain to find comfort and inspiration in this book in hearing the raw struggles, roadblocks and shortfalls that accompany success.

Now more than ever, women need to hear from other women and learn from their experiences. It is the only way that we will shift the statistics, when it comes to women in leadership. At the end of the dam,  we cannot expect the next generation to become something they cannot see. “Humble Leaders”, provides a platform for women who are busy ‘getting it done’ to be seen and as a result I believe we are likely to see more women like them in the future and all I can say is I can’t wait.

I absolutely love this book and the incredible women that have shared their stories. ‘Humble Leaders’ is one of those books that every female founder and business woman should read. Why? Because we are all struggling for success in our own way, and to hear that other women have overcome incredible obstacles and setbacks but have powered forward anyway, each one building a business that makes a difference in people’s lives. Seeing role models like this can be a game changer when it comes to our own journey.

It’s important that we all understand that life doesn’t always go to plan, but it’s how you deal with adversity that can make a difference. If you choose to swim, rather than sink, the benefits are multiplied – not only to you but also to the people watching you and learning from you. I would highly recommend that every business woman out there grabs a copy and gets inspired by these amazing women and their heartfelt, honest stories.

The concept of being humble while being a respected leader may sound confusing for some people.  Certainly, in the era of chest beating world leaders of late we are seeing a very different type of leadership gracing our television screens most nights.  So, what is this Humility, vulnerability and humble-ness all about?

It’s about creating psychologically safe workplaces and communities for ourselves and others to thrive. It’s about the authentic sharing of abundance and reality that no one creates sustainable success alone. Leadership via fear and ego is so last century.  In this book, you will not only be inspired by these individuals’ life journeys, but it will ignite within you the truth that we are good enough as we are, with dents and scars and we can show those, be vulnerable and be humble. By being real, we inspire others to soar with us and after all, isn’t that what great leaders do?

Humbleness is a superpower that is only just unfurling its wings this century.

I have been a member for one year, at first I was a little scared of joining a network of people who I didn’t know especially as I am more on the introverted side of things. I met Janelle at an expo and was in awe, of the way it all worked. There was no lock ins, no comittment to attend each month unless I chose too. From my first event I felt welcomed, and supported in achieving my business and personal goals.

Fast forward a year later and it was the best decision I had ever made, I am able to contribute to a monthly blog, attend events day or night and bulid fantastic relationships with women and men that I thought would never give me the time of day. I am so grateful and thankful for what WNA has been able to do for my.buziness, personal confidence and networking skills that I now want to encourage everyone to join the WNA Tribe.

I have made some amazing connections with stylists, coaches, SEO experts, marketing professionals as well as artists and attended some amazing movie premiers for free just for being a member.

I love WNA for many reasons but mostly because you are such an inspiration, Janelle Bostock.  I love your story, I love your growth, and I love the growth path you are allowing us to follow.

You help people develop and step into their power, and this is a great gift to give.  You give them a voice where they can feel comfortable growing and developing, how cool is that. WNA has so many incredible members, and this is because of your kindness, empathy, leadership and realness.

It’s a great venue for mixing with people and always very friendly… the more you go the more people have trust in you and get to know you for what you are and your sincere connections… you are doing an amazing job Janelle, well done.

Womens Network Australia has played a significant part in networking for me as a long-time member. I have connected with many other likeminded women in varying forms of business. The networking functions and VIP events I have attended have been a great place to get word out about my business, learn about other businesses and what services are available within the organisation, all whilst enjoying a relaxed environment, enabling easy conversation between members and developing new relationships. Janelle Bostock, CEO, is extremely knowledgeable about all of her members and their businesses and makes a conscious effort to ensure everyone is kept up to date on events on a regular basis. I have the utmost respect for, and admire Janelle’s ability to motivate women, her integrity is beyond question. I thoroughly recommend WNA to women in business throughout Australia looking for new connections that actually work.
