Member to Member Offer
As the Director / Principal Ecologist at Green Tape Solutions, I provide strategic and expert advice on environmental matters related to the assessment of urban and commercial developments, governmental projects and renewable projects. I also undertake scientific research works for non-profit organisations. I have over 18 years experience both within the private and public sectors. I specialise in expert witness activities, fauna (expert in bird and bat species) and flora surveys, offset management (e.g. Koala Offset) and ecological assessment across Queensland, NT and NSW. Having worked as an ecologist in the Development Assessment team within Brisbane City Council for more than 6 years, I understand the fundamentals needed to deliver major developments, and associated infrastructure in a difficult legislative and economic environment. The focus of my career has been on the assessment and delivery of large scale master planned developments (especially in greenfield site), research and renewable projects. I understand the need to achieve balanced outcomes which meet the needs of both the private sector and government agencies. In my spare time, I enjoy doing volunteer work for a number of wildlife organisations. I coordinate and supervise fauna surveys, especially bird and bat banding activities. I hold a class A banding license and undertake regular surveys using misnetting, harp traps and trip lines across a number of sites within Queensland. My goal is to deliver the high-quality, practical and cost-effective solutions to ensure good planning and help my client to achieve their goals.
