Turning 'Moments of Realisation' Into A Business
Tara Howell - Director, Echelon Marketing and Blue Derby Pods Ride
In life, moments that stimulate focus and achieve clarity are often hard to come by. However, when we experience a lightbulb moment, it can be life changing and described as ‘moments of realisation’.
From an early age, Tasmanian entrepreneur, Tara Howell began chasing moments like these using them to guide her personal and business decisions. It wasn’t until she came across the simplicity of riding a mountain bike, and experienced a feeling of ‘flow’ that she realised she could regularly experience 'moments of realisation' more easily then she first thought.
'Moments of realisation' have continued to define Tara’s life and business pursuits, and in turn, she has just recently launched a tourism experience – Blue Derby Pods Ride.
Over lunch Tara will share what it is like from a younger persons perspective to operate, build and commercialise a business and how 'moments of realisation' have defined her business journey to date.
About Tara Howell:
Tara founded her marketing consultancy Echelon Marketing three years ago, after identifying a space in the market for strategy and implementation assistance for small to medium size businesses.
A passionate promotor of Tasmania, Tara is also the co-founder and director of Blue Derby Pods Ride in North East Tasmania. She's held numerous positions on Tasmanian boards, and holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing and Accounting) with the University of Tasmania.
Energetic, bold and creative are commonly used to describe Tara's modus operandi. Take these traits, combine them with above-average levels of motivation, and ample but measured sass, and you've got a lady with an inclination for success.
