Be On Record When You Speak

Public Relations & Media Services

In the effort of CPI (continuous personal improvement not Consumer Price Index, as an Accountant would say!), I am always open to improving myself.

Last month I had the privilege of being the MC for a Melbourne Cup function with over 200 guests at our local RSL Club. The learning experience I gained from this event was that to improve myself as a speaker or MC, I should have recorded some footage of me “in action.”

I received feedback via social media, private message, texts etc. which was all positive. However, being a person with very high standards, and reflecting on the event, I really should have had a video taken so that I could do a self-analysis. I do know that I say “So” and use many superlatives A LOT!

If you want to move on in your speaking career, you need to be genuinely honest, open and transparent in who you are, what you do and how you present and your feedback.

YES I am positive, I am also authentic in the above.

When you present, make sure you have a buddy who can record/video you “in action”, as it truly is the best way to improve yourself, which in turns means that YOU can be your best self….and charge higher prices….and what you are worth!

Here’s to your speaking success! And remember…d
ream…believe…achieve.
