How to design a career that works for you

In The News
Returning to work or changing careers can be overwhelming, but I believe every woman deserves the opportunity to design a life and career that works for them.

Have you returned to your career after a break only to find it’s not quite right for you anymore?

Or maybe you’re ready to change career direction? To try freelancing, or even start your own business?

Then you probably know the world of work, job search, job applications, interviews, gig work and remote work can be confronting and confusing. Especially if you’ve been away from it all for a while.

There are so many webinars, workshops and coaching services out there – but what about an all-encompassing program for women who might be unsure where to even begin?

It’s why I joined forces with Tanaz Byramji of Tanaz Coaching and Consulting and Allan Gatenby of ACPi Australia (pictured below) to create an Australian-first program designed to support women to build the confidence, knowledge and skills to take charge of their career – and life.

With funding from the Australian Government’s National Careers Institute, we’ve designed the World of Work Program specifically for women returning to work or changing careers.

The program will help you to assess your skills and experience and design a career plan that works for you, right through to exploring training opportunities and connecting with employers. You can gain exposure to a range of career options and hear directly from employers who are actively recruiting.

It offers a unique blend of interactive workshops, employer and training showcases, career coaching, and developing practical tools such as resumes and cover letters.

But it’s about more than simply getting a job.

The World of Work is ultimately designed to support you to be happier, healthier and more engaged in your work – by balancing work and personal priorities, building quality relationships, understanding your personal values, and designing a career that works.

We know your time is valuable and that every woman has different experiences and needs – that’s why you can customise the World of Work to your individual requirements.

You might want to complete one module or all of them, spend three hours or over 30 exploring all the workshops, content, and activities. Perhaps all you need is a new resume, or interview skills training.

Our skilled career coaches will help you to customise the program to your individual needs.

And thanks to our funding from the National Careers Institute, you can access the entire program for only a $19 registration fee.

Changing careers or returning to work can be challenging. We think it’s an opportunity.

A chance to invest in your future health and happiness by finding the right type of work for you.
