It’s Time To Wake Up And Grow

Business Consulting & Coaching

There is a massive difference between living and merely existing. It really is time to wake up and grow – before you end up by default living on the ‘Island of Regret’.

Here are 4 great tips to keep you on track – or get you back on track if you’ve fallen off:

  • Take the time in your life today to work on your dreams. But…please make sure you are working on your dreams and not working on someone else’s dreams all day long. Sometimes you forget yourself and what matters to you, all because you are being busy for others. Remember, you cannot be true to anyone when you are not being true to yourself. This applies to family, employers, community groups…anyone else. Remember the instructions – “Be sure to put your own oxygen mask on first before assisting others.”
  • If you’re not feeling discomfort in some area of life then you’re not growing. Perhaps you’re playing it safe or feel stuck in a rut right now and in need of leverage to make change. When you’re growing and challenging yourself, life is more energizing, stimulating and, yes, uncomfortable! It’s essential to life, love and growth.
  • Never underestimate the power of being inspired with a single spark of desire and possibility. It could be an idea, someone new in your life, a cause, a challenge, a need, a new song or a work of art. It could be an old, new or recurring vision or dream. When you’re inspired, you tap into your greatness and offer a reflection to those around you who are inspired by that same energy in them…especially if it’s buried or suppressed. When you are inspired you create new ways of being, thinking and doing. You see pure possibility and find more passion about something or someone. You don’t even see obstacles in your path – all you see is opportunity.
  • Finally, keep remembering that what seems impossible today will become your warm up soon enough.

It was Nelson Mandella who said “There is no passion to be found in playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” Clever man.
